As I mentioned in that little note in the sidebar, this is a blog devoted to an obsessive fangirl’s musings. I’m interested in a lot of things, but mostly focus on anime/manga, video games, and fantasy literature.

Let me just clarify that I’m not a fangirl in the derogatory sense (“a female fan, obsessed with something (or someone) to a frightening or sickening degree. Often considered ditzy, annoying and shallow.” – Urban Dictionary) I believe that the other definition that Urban Dictionary provides is more suitable: “less extreme, a female fan who can laugh at their own passion for their particular interest (or even obsession).”

I’ve had run-ins with fangirls of the first kind, and frankly, I think the world would be better off if they just rolled over onto their bellies and died.

Yes, I know that fanlistings are essentially pointless. Yes, I know that getting too obsessive about any fandom is very dangerous. And yes, I’m aware that a lot of the guys I find to be attractive are fictional. It’s all in good fun.
